|“On Saturday November 23rd the Scottish Clans of North Texas and the Dallas Scottish Society for the first, and hopefully last, time in their respective history, both held their respective St. Andrews dinners on the same night. So, living in Ft. Worth, I went to the closest one. With threatening bad weather 'heading our way', several folks braved the weather forecast and attended the potluck dinner in Ft. Worth at St. Stephens Church in Ft. Worth. Naturally, SAMS was there. Attendees were entertained by the Ft. Worth Pipes & Drums, and the North Texas Scottish Country Dancers. And tried their luck with the raffle. The Pot luck was good. Few people had leftovers to take home.
“After the dinner myself, Thomas Duncan, and our newest Post members, the Whisennands went to the neighborhood pub, The Ol' Bull & Bush, for a visit and a Guinness or two, before hitting the road home to beat the impending winter storm.”
